...,ES:sh:4/l/75 ORIGINAL APR 14 1975 0 R DIN AN C E N O. 1627 --------- ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2.63(a), 2.63(b), 2.65 2.66, 2.67, 2.68, 2.71, 2.72, AND 2.77 OF THE REDWOOD CITY CODE ESTABLISHING CERTAIN PROCEDURES AND REQUIRE- MENTS THEREIN SPECIFIED FOR OBTAINING BIDS AND ENTERING INTO CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF MATERIALS, SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT, AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC WORKS OR IMPROVEMENTS THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2.63(a) of the Redwood City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: IISection 2.63(a) All materials, equipment, and supplies costing more than Five Thousand and No/IOO Dollars ($5,000.00) shall be purchased in the open market on the basis of competitive bidding in accordance with the pro- visions of this article.1I Section 2. Section 2.63(b) of the Redwood City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: IISection 2.63(b) Any public work or improvement costing more than Five Thousand and No/IOO Dollars ($5,000.00) shall be contracted for in accordance with Section 67 of the Charter unless such work or improvement is performed by a department authorized to execute such work or improvement directly as provided in Section 67 or unless the work is performed as provided in Section 68 of the Charter. The procedure pertaining to the purchase of materials, equipment and supplies having an estimated cost in excess of Five Thousand and No/lOa Dollars ($5,000.00) shall be followed in the award of contracts for public works and improvements wherever applicable.
