<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Shelter Network <br /> <br />Maple Street Shelter <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this o:3l.st day at .A,litX>T <br /> <br />, 2006, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and <br /> <br /> <br />municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and Shelter Network, a <br /> <br /> <br />California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"). <br /> <br />WIT N E SSE T H: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides an emergency shelter, transitional <br />housing and support services for homeless single adults; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the program described in the attached Exhibit A (Contract Objectives), <br />which is incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of <br />City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that <br />providing the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, <br />desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of Twenty Five Thousand and no/100 <br /> <br />Dollars ($25,000). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum <br />of Twenty Five Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($25,000) for exclusive use by <br />Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, <br />2007, solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibits A (Contractor <br />Objectives) and Exhibit B (Budget). <br /> <br />ATTY/AGR/2006.044 <br />081606 <br />
