<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Mental Health Association of San Mateo County <br />Spring Street Shelter <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this~kT day 'Qt~'i~T , <br />2006, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Mental Health Association of San <br />Mateo County, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the <br /> <br />"Parties"). <br /> <br />WIT N E SSE T H: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides an emergency shelter for homeless mentally ill <br />adults; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit A (Contractor Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1,2006, and ending June 30,2007; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Twelve Thousand and no/OO Dollars ($12,000). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Twelve Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($12,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during <br />the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007, solely for the <br />purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />ATTY/AGR/2006.043 <br />081606 <br />
