<br />DES:wg:S/23/74 <br /> <br />OHIGiNAL <br /> <br />JUN 10 '74 <br /> <br />ORD1,NANCE <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1603 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.111 OF THE CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE TERMS <br />OF OFFICE OF MEMBERS OF THE CIVIC CULTURAL <br />COMMISSION <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 2.111 of the Code of the city of <br /> <br />Redwood city is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 2.111. The term of office of each member <br /> <br />of the civic Cultural Commission shall be four (4) <br /> <br />years expiring on April 30 in the 4th year: provided, <br /> <br />however, that appointments to such terms shall be made <br /> <br />such that not more than two such terms expire in any <br /> <br />one year. No member shall be eligible for appointment <br /> <br />to a consecutive term of office, but any former member <br /> <br />shall be eligible for appointment to membership at any <br /> <br />time after the expiration of the period of two (2) <br /> <br />years from the date of expiration or other termination <br /> <br />of the immediately preceding term of such former <br /> <br />member." <br /> <br />SECTION 2. <br /> <br />Terms of office of the members of the <br /> <br />Civic cultural Commission holding office at the time this <br /> <br />Ordinance becomes effective shall be deemed extended to <br /> <br />April 30 of the year next following the year which their <br />term would have expired had the amendment provided in Section 1 <br /> <br />hereof not been enacted. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall be effective 30 days <br /> <br />after its adoption. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />1603 <br />
