NAN C E N O. <br /> <br />1459 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20.127 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO PARKING METER FINES <br /> <br />JUN :2\) '70 <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 20.127 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />city is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 20.127 <br /> <br />Payment of Fine to Avoid <br /> <br />Prosecution. Any operator or owner of a vehicle to whom <br /> <br />a citation has been issued in accordance with the preceding <br /> <br />section may, within twenty-four hours of the time of the <br /> <br />issuance of such citation, pay to the appropriate court, <br /> <br />as a penalty for and full satisfaction of sucb violation, <br /> <br />the sum of two dollars. <br /> <br />The mailing, in a sealed envelope <br /> <br />properly addressed, through the united States mail, of a <br /> <br />check, money order, or postal order, within twenty-four <br /> <br />hours from the time of issuance of the citation, or notice <br /> <br />of such vib~tion, or the deposit with the police department <br /> <br />of the sum of two dollars within such'twenty-four hours <br /> <br />constitutes a compliance with this provision. Delivery of <br /> <br />such envelope shall be the responsibility of such owner or <br /> <br />operator. The fail~re of such owner or operator to make <br /> <br />such payment within the twenty-fours shall render such <br /> <br />owner or operator subject to the penalties provided for <br /> <br />violation of the provisions of this division. II <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
