Ordinance No. 1369, entitled, "Ordinance <br /> <br />amending S~ction 5 of Ordinance No. 1359 relating to classifications <br /> <br />of bU3 ine~3ses wi thin DO\"ln.town parking and Business Improve:>ment Area <br /> <br />No, 1", ndopt.cd J'uly 22, 1968, is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SEC'l'IC~J 2. <br /> <br />S(~ct ion 5 of Ord inance No. 1359, entitled "Ordinance <br /> <br />e3 tabl ishinq DO\'mtcr'.vn PZlrking and Bus ines s Improvement Area No. 1 <br /> <br />in a portion of the City of Redwood City in accordance with Section <br /> <br />36000 et seq., of the Streets and Higrl'."lays Code; describi.ng the <br /> <br />boundaries of said area; establishing the rate or levy of additional <br /> <br />taxation by classificiJ.tion of business within said district; and <br /> <br />s'cating the uses to \,'hich the revenues from sl..1ch tiJ.xation shall 1;8 <br /> <br />put'., adopted May 27, 1968, 1S hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />The additional rate or levy of the business <br /> <br />"SEC'J'I();"~ 5. <br /> <br />license tax to be imposed within the parkinq and business <br /> <br />improvement area established by this ordinance, and the <br /> <br />brea~<:do...m by classification of business, are hereby fixed, <br /> <br />levied, determined and established as follows: <br /> <br />" (a) <br /> <br />Every person carrying on the business of manufac- <br /> <br />turing, packing, processing or selling at whole- <br /> <br />sale any goods, ItlareS, merchandise or cormnoc1ities <br /> <br />at a fixed place of business within the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City shall pay no additional tax hereunder. <br /> <br />" (b) <br /> <br />Every person conducting, managing, carrying on or <br /> <br />engaging in any business, profession or occupation <br /> <br />hereinafter enumerated shall pay an additional <br /> <br />tax in an amount equCll to one-half times the <br />
