I~SJ/ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $17,745 FROM UNAPPROPRIATED <br />BALANCE OF OFF-STREET PARKING FUND TO PROVIDE FOR <br />PURCHASE OF PARKING METERS; AND, AUTHORIZING PURCHASE <br />OF SAID PARKING METERS WITHOUT PUBLIC BID <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The sum of seventeen thousand seven hundred <br /> <br />forty-five dollars ($17,745) is hereby appropriated from the <br /> <br />unbudgeted unappropriated balance of the Off-Street Parking <br /> <br />Fund for the purpose of providing for the purchase of parking <br /> <br />meters of the same type and manufacture as those already in <br /> <br />use by this City. Said appropriation shall be for expenditure <br /> <br />during the fiscal year July 1, 1967-June 30, 1968, and shall <br /> <br />be in addition to all sums appropriated for such purposes <br /> <br />during the fiscal year July 1, 1967-June 30, 1968. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.76 <br /> <br />of the Code of the City of Redwood City it is hereby found <br /> <br />that strict compliance with the purchasing ordinances of this <br /> <br />City would not serve the pUblic interest since the type of <br /> <br />parking meters presently in use by this City are available <br /> <br />from a single source only, and that such parking meters may <br /> <br />be purchased without public bid. <br /> <br />SECTION 3.
