<br />DES:lm:6/30/66-7 <br /> <br />o g,12.J.~~ N C.li <br /> <br />R o._J>>~ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 2.12.2 OF, AND <br />ADDING SECTION 2.12.2 TOg THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATIN3 TO THE CON- <br />SOLIDATION OF 'rHE OFFICES OF CITY E'SfGINEER <br />AND SUPERINTENDENr OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE <br />DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDNOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 2.12.2 of the Code of ,the City of <br /> <br />Redwood city is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION ~. Section 2.12.2 is hereby added to the Code <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section_2 .12. 2 i.~ Pursuant to the provisions of <br /> <br />Section 22 of the Charter, the offices of the City Engineer <br /> <br />and the Superintendent of the Public Service Departmen't <br /> <br />are hereby consolidated. <br /> <br />(b) Any person appointed to the <br /> <br />consolidated office provided in Section 2.12.2(a) of <br /> <br />this Code shall exercise and perform all powers, functions <br /> <br />and duties as are prescribed by Sections 28 and 45 of the <br /> <br />Charter or as are otherwise prescribed by the Charter <br /> <br />or any ordinance or resolution, in -the same manner as <br /> <br />if such offices were not consolidated." <br /> <br />SECTION 3.
