"'-. <br />'hl Ui f~I.,- <br /> <br />(030/26) <br />JAN 2 2 19~U <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11208 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION FOR VOLUNTARY <br />PARTICIPATION OF CERTAIN TOW TRUCK COMPANIES IN <br />ABANDONED VEHICLE ABATEMENT PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is faced with ever- <br /> <br />increasing nuisances created by abandoned vehicles; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under policies of the Police Department certain tow <br /> <br />truck companies respond in rotation to requests for assistance in <br /> <br />connection with vehicular accidents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department requested said tow truck <br /> <br />companies voluntarily to participate in a month-long intensified <br /> <br />program to abate the nuisances created by abandoned vehicles by <br /> <br />removing and disposing of said vehicles without cost; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Action Towing, Advanced Towing, All Weather Towing, <br /> <br />Broadway Tow, Carini's Towing, Doug's Towing, Jay's Towing, <br /> <br />Porta's Towing, <br /> <br />Redwood Towing, <br /> <br />and Unicorn Towing, <br /> <br />all <br /> <br />volunteered to participate in said special one-month abatement <br /> <br />program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to express its appreciation <br /> <br />for the excellent efforts of said companies in conducting <br /> <br />voluntarily the aforesaid abatement program; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />.,- > ,- > """'-~-'-'-----~-'-"_.--'-"----'-'---_.----~.~--_.,--...'--~~'~-'---'--'-'---"-'-~------ <br />
