2/8/99 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13553 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE <br /> (1) WASTEWATER PUMP FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC <br /> WORKS SERVICES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were solicited for <br />the purchase of one (1) wastewater pump for the Department of Public Works <br />Services of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation, four bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Johnston Pump Co. of Oakland, California, is the lowest <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the <br />bid of Johnston Pump Co.; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Johnston Pump Co. for the purchase of one (1) wastewater <br />pump to the City of Redwood City in the amount of Nineteen Thousand Eight <br />Hundred Eighty-seven and 69/100 Dollars ($19,887.69) and in accordance with <br />said bidder's proposal dated January 5, 1999, is hereby accepted, and said <br />bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder in response to <br />solicitation for bids without advertisement for said pump. <br /> <br /> 2.
