<br />DAS:sh 1/21/86 <br /> <br />ORIG!NAL <br /> <br />JAN 2 7 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA (DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION) RELATING TO FUNDING RESPONSIBILITIES TO <br />MODIFY THE HOLLY STREET INTERCHANGE ON STATE HIGHWAY <br />ROUTE 101 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10125 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo, the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />and the City of San Carlos have jointly requested the State of <br /> <br />California to modify the Holly Street Interchange on State <br /> <br />Highway Route 101 in San Mateo County from an existing 3-loop <br /> <br />clover leaf interchange to a 4-loop clover leaf by constructing a <br /> <br />fourth loop in the southwesterly quadrant, a new southbound <br /> <br />collector-distributor road, widening the overcrossing, modifying <br /> <br />existing traffic control signal systems and constructing other <br /> <br />required modifications (hereafter referred to as "Improvements"); <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State of California is willing to implement the <br /> <br />abovementioned Improvements by entering into an agreement with <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City pursuant to which the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City agrees and consents to bear part of the construction costs, <br /> <br />and fifty percent (50%) of all utilities protection, relocation <br /> <br />and/or <br /> <br />removal <br /> <br />costs <br /> <br />required <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />abovementioned <br /> <br />Improvements, as well as to maintain those portions of the <br /> <br />abovementioned Improvements that will be constructed within the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City's right-of-way and to make no claim against <br /> <br />the State of California for any part of said maintenance <br /> <br />expenses; and <br /> <br />10125 <br />
