<br />MINUTE ORDER <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />February 5. 2007 <br />MO. 07-019 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: February 6, 2007 <br /> <br />Attention: City Attorney <br />Police Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: The proposed use of 2006 Citizens Option for Public Safety (COPS) <br />funds of $148,093 by the Redwood City Police Department. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM: 7 A (505) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on February 5,2007. <br /> <br />Present: Council Members Aguirre, Hartnett, Howard, Ira, Vice Mayor Foust and Mayor <br />Pierce <br /> <br />Absent: Council Member Bain <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes <br /> <br />MIS HartneWlra approve the Police Chief's recommendation to dedicate $85,000 <br />of the Citizens Option for Public Safety (COPS) funds to the salaries and <br />benefits of the new police officer positions approved by City Council pursuant to <br />the staffing study of 1997. The Police Chief recommends that the remaining <br />funds, $63,093, be dedicated to the acquisition of equipment and supplies <br />needed by the police department. <br /> <br /> <br />The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote by all those present. <br />:--':) . ~~.,....I)l. ) <br /> <br />Patricia S.
