-' ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> for <br /> <br /> FIRSTSTOP - SMALL BUSINESS LEGAL ASSISTANCE <br /> <br /> (LEGAL AID SOCIETY OF SAN MATEO COUNTY) <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~7'~ day of <br /> .~L~~. ~ 2001, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, (City), and LEGAL AID SOCIETY <br />OF SAN MATEO COUNTY, a California nonprofit corporation (Contractor); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor conducts a technical assistance and legal advice <br />program to assist low income residents of Redwood City to establish their own business <br />(the Program); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the Program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July t, 2001, and <br />ending June 30, 2002; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor <br />the sum of Fifteen Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($15,000.00) from its Community <br />Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Financial Assistance. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Fifteen <br />Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($15,000.00) for exclusive use by Contractor during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, solely for the purposes <br />described in paragraph 2. <br /> <br />8/15/01 <br /> <br /> <br />
