0 R I G I N A L 1/27/97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12988 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR PURCHASE OF THREE (3) <br /> SELF-PROPELLED TURF SWEEPERS; AND AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.85 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published <br />for the pumhase of three (3) self-propelled turf sweepers for the Parks, <br />Recreation and Community Services Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication three bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, H.V. Carter Company, Inc. of Livermore, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder (meeting the City's specifications) and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to accept the bid of H.V. Carter Company, <br />Inc.; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of H.V. Carter Company, Inc., in the total amount of Forty-eight <br />Thousand Five Hundred Fifty and 13/100 Dollars ($48,550.13), computed in <br />accordance with said bidder's proposal dated January 8, 1997 for the sale of <br />three (3) self-propelled turf sweepers, which bid is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder (meeting the City's specifications) for the sale of said <br />sweepers to the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
