1/8/01 <br />0 k I S I N A L _ <br />R E S 0 L U T 1 0 N N 0. 14114 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE REDWOOD <br />SHORES PARKWAY WIDENING — PHASE II PROJECT; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14059, adopted October 16, <br />2000, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Redwood Shores Parkway <br />Widening — Phase II project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, six bids were received for the <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, G. Bortolotto & Co. of San Carlos, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br />bid to G. Bortolotto & Co.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of G. Bortolotto & Co. in the amount of Eight Hundred Fifty -six <br />Thousand Five Hundred Seventy -six and 96/100 Dollars ($856,576.96), <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated December 13, 2000 for the <br />Redwood Shores Parkway Widening — Phase II project, is hereby accepted and <br />said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br />said work. <br />Reso -1060 <br />R: shared\Redwood\CounciI \Reso <br />DES:djk <br />12/19/00 <br />
