RESOLUTION NO. 19-03 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY GRANTING APPROVAL OF AN ARCHITECTURAL <br />PERMIT, PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PERMIT, CONDOMINIUM <br />PERMIT, AND VESTING TENTATIVE MAP FOR A MULTI -FAMILY <br />DEVELOPMENT AT 120 EL CAMINO REAL PURSUANT TO THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL CODE AND THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE AND FINDING THAT SAID <br />APPROVALS ARE EXEMPT FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE <br />CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant, Helen Wu, proposes to demolish an existing <br />commercial structure and construct a 12 unit townhome development located at 120 EI <br />Camino Real (the Project) which is within the Mixed Use Neighborhood Zoning District; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City <br />("Commission") is empowered by Zoning Ordinance Article 45 (Architectural Permits) <br />and Article 46 (Planned Development Permits) to act upon applications for Architectural <br />Permits and Planned Development Permits respectively; and is empowered by the <br />Subdivision Ordinance as set forth in Chapter 30 of the City of Redwood City Municipal <br />Code to act upon applications for Vesting Tentative Maps and Condominium Permits; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, on March 21, 2019, a public hearing notice was published in the <br />San Mateo Daily Journal and mailed to interested parties and all property owners within <br />300 feet of the Property; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 2, 2019, the Commission held a duly noticed public hearing, <br />in accordance with all applicable requirements of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, <br />to consider Architectural Permit application No. AP2018-018, Planned Development <br />Permit application No. PD2018-003, Vesting Tentative Map Permit application No. <br />TM2018-007, and Condominium Permit application No. CP2019-001; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 2, 2019, all interested parties were given the opportunity to <br />participate in the public hearing by providing oral testimony and/or submitting written <br />comments; and <br />WHEREAS, at the April 2, 2019 public hearing, the Planning Commission fully <br />reviewed, considered, and evaluated the staff report, oral and written public testimony, <br />and all other documents and evidence in the public record on the Project; and <br />Page 1 of 19 <br />ATTY/DOCS-RESOLUTIONS/2019/RESO.0024 PC RESO ARCHITECTUAL PERMIT 120 EL CAMINO REAL <br />REV: 04-03-19 PR <br />
