0 R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13819 <br />1/24/00 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR REDWOOD SHORES <br />LEVEE FENCING AND GATES PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13804, adopted December 6, <br />1999, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Redwood Shores Levee Fencing <br />and Gates Project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, five bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, U.S. Metal of Oakland, California is the lowest responsible <br />bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to U.S. <br />Metal; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of U.S. Metal in the amount of Fifty -one Thousand Nine <br />Hundred Fifty and No /100 Dollars ($51,950.00), computed in accordance with <br />bidder's proposal dated January 4, 2000 for the Redwood Shores Levee Fencing <br />and Gates Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />2.
