DES:djk n~/11/96 (060/41) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 1/22/96 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12685 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF <br /> APPLICATION FOR TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS <br /> FOR REDWOOD CITY BICYCLE MAPS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires the design and <br />printing of 10,000 City bicycle maps (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Traffic Advisory Committee <br />recommends approval of the Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Project conforms to, and implements, the <br />Transportation Element of the General Plan and the Redwood City <br />Bikeway Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 66520 all <br />applications for federal or state grant funds for transportation <br />projects must be approved by the Metropolitan Transportation <br />Commission; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to apply for a Transportation <br /> <br />Development Act grant for the Project; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That certain application to the Metropolitan <br />Transportation Commission for grant funds in the total amount of <br />Six Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($6,000.00) for fiscal year <br />1996-97 funding, entitled, "Application Documents: TDA Article 3 <br />Bicycle/Pedestrian Projects" for the Project, a copy of which <br />application is on file in the office of the Director of Community <br />Development, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full <br /> <br /> <br />
