RESOLUTION NO. P-2404 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANT FROM THE STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION DIVISION <br />OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION <br />OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN PORT AND THE DIVISION OF <br />BOATING AND WATERWAYS <br />(Surrendered and Abandoned Vessel Exchange) <br />WHEREAS, the Port of Redwood City (the "Port") obtained approval for funding <br />of a grant (Grant No. C19S0618; the "Grant") from the State of California Department of <br />Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways ("DBW") pursuant to the <br />Surrendered and Abandoned Vessel Exchange (SAVE); and <br />WHEREAS, the Grant will allow the Port to administer and dispose of abandoned <br />watercrafts; and <br />WHEREAS, the Grant is in the amount of $38,500; and <br />WHEREAS, the Port has reviewed the Grant Agreement and Exhibits thereto <br />(the "Contract"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Port desires to approve the Contract. <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City of Redwood City, acting by and through its Board of Port <br />Commissioners accepts the Grant in the amount of Thirty -Eight Thousand Five Hundred <br />and No/100 Dollars ($38,500) from the Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of <br />Boating and Waterways and declares that the Port Executive Director, Kristine A. <br />Zortman, is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Contract and all necessary <br />Reso 262 1 <br />01/29/20 <br />FXS <br />
