04/13/2020 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15831 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION TO THE LOCAL AGENCY <br />FORMATION COMMISSION REQUESTING APPROVAL FOR <br />EXTENSION OF WATER SERVICES TO EIGHT (8) NEW SINGLE <br />FAMILY HOMES ON A PROPOSED SUBDIVISION AT 4057 <br />JEFFERSON AVENUE, APN 068-211-270, OUTSIDE JURISDICTIONAL <br />BOUNDARIES PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 56133 <br />WHEREAS, the property located at 4057 Jefferson Avenue, APN 068-211-270 <br />(the "Property"), Unincorporated San Mateo County, California is outside the <br />jurisdictional boundaries of the City of Redwood City (City), but inside City's sphere of <br />influence and water service area; and <br />WHEREAS, the Property is a four (4) acre parcel with one existing single family <br />home; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo is processing an application for approval to <br />subdivide the parcel and construct eight (8) additional single family homes on the <br />Property; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo's approval of the subdivision and building <br />permits is conditioned upon the property owner obtaining a new water connection and <br />service for the proposed residences from the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the property owner has requested that the City provide water <br />services to the proposed single family homes on the Property; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo, as Lead Agency, has approved the <br />project, adopted a Mitigated Negative Declaration under the California Environmental <br />Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines, and has filed a Notice of Determination on January 9, <br />2020. <br />ATTY/RESO.0021/CC RESO APPROVING REQUEST TO (LAFCO) FOR EXTENSION OF WATER SERVICES-4057JEFFERSON AVE. <br />RESO.
