- ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> for <br /> <br /> TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING FOR MICROENTERPRISES <br /> (SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER) <br /> <br /> SAN MATEO COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT/CANADA COLLEGE <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this O~(~4J~ day of ~ <br />2002, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and San Mateo County Community <br />College District/Canada College, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") <br />(collectively the "Parties"); <br /> <br /> WlTNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor conducts a job training program to assist Iow income <br />residents of the City in Creating Small businesses (the Program); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1,2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of One Hundred Seven Thousand, Four Hundred Dollars <br /> <br />($107,400) from its Community Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of One <br />Hundred Seven Thousand, Four Hundred Dollars ($107,400) for exclusive use by <br /> <br />10/8/02 <br /> <br /> <br />
