ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> for <br /> <br /> ADULT DAY SHELTER <br /> <br /> ( CLARA-MATEO ALLIANCE, INC. ) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 20th day of November <br />2002, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Clara-Mateo Alliance, Inc., a California <br />nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides a homeless rehabilitation shelter program for <br />homeless individuals, couples and families; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1,2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($14,000) from its <br />Community Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($14,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal <br />year commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, solely for the purposes <br />described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> Service.agr <br /> 10/8/02 <br /> <br /> <br />
