<br />RESO LUTI01'i <br /> <br />YfHEREaS, motor 'traffic betvfeen San Mateo and Half 1100n Bay is <br /> <br />rapidly increasing ~reports showing over a 50% increase since 1928); <br /> <br />'WHEREAS, this road is dangerous to travel and entirely inadequate <br /> <br />to satisfactorily accommodate traffic increases; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the majority of this traffic originates outside San lJateo <br /> <br />county and should be classified as state and not local travel; <br /> <br />AND 'WHEREAS, San Mateo County has already contributed heavily <br /> <br />to the construction of highway arteries for through traffic, <br /> <br />NOW I THEREFORE, lIE IT RESOLVED that this body endorses the move- <br /> <br />ment for the reconstruction of this highway, recommends its adoption as <br /> <br />part of a Cross State Hig~~ay System and agrees to actively assist in the <br /> <br />presentation of the project to the state Higmvay Commission. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at <br /> <br />a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th day of May, 1930, by the <br /> <br />fo110\ving vote: <br /> <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution Council- <br /> <br />men: H.
