<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED: By the City COill1cil of Redwood City, California, that <br />for and on behalf of the Citizens of Redwood City, it is definitely <br /> <br />opposed to the repeal of the "Allin Amendment" which is now a part of <br /> <br />the Intercoastal Shipping Act. <br /> <br /> <br />&~D BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this City Council urges that an amend- <br /> <br /> <br />ment with the purpose and effect of the "Allin Amendment" be enacted <br /> <br />as a part of any Subsidy Bill now under consideration of the Congress <br /> <br />of the United states, which shall bar the subsidizing of any carrier <br /> <br />or a member of a "conference" or Association of carriers which either <br /> <br />prevents or attempts to prevent a member carrier from serving any <br /> <br />American port. <br /> <br />AND BE IT FUR'IIHER RESOLVED, that copies of this Resolution be sent to <br /> <br /> <br />our Congressmen and Senators with the request that they prevent the <br /> <br />repeal of the "Allin Amendmenttt in present law cq:td urge its enactment <br />in any subsequent subsidy legislation. <br /> <br />I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly <br /> <br /> <br />passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a <br /> <br /> <br />regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of February, 1936, by the <br /> <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution: Councilmen <br /> <br />L. c.
