<br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Legislature of the state of California at its <br /> <br />1941 session ena~ted a statute requiring Boards of Supervisors to accord <br /> <br />~' .... <br /> <br />to cities within their respective counties hearing on an appl~cation <br /> <br />thereof for a share of the subvention of One d~nt (l~) per gallon of <br /> <br />gasoline tax, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Californ:i.a State Supervisopst Association at its <br /> <br />annual convention at Ho11yv{cocl, Californi.a, in T;J[ay, 1941, adoIJted a re- <br /> <br />solution recommendins that Boards of Supervlsors throughout the state <br /> <br />make some equi table divisicln of suc.h gas t8.X funeJ.s wI th the ci tIes' w:L th- <br /> <br />in their respective counties, and <br /> <br />WHEEEAS the p01Jula tion of the tViel ve c1 tles 5n thi s coun tJ is <br /> <br />85% or more of the population of the county, and the gasoline taxes paid <br /> <br />by residents of said cities constitute approximately the same percentage <br /> <br />of gasoline taxes paid wi thin this coun ty, and it is fe,ir and equi table <br /> <br />for the Board of Supervisors of this COlmty to apportion and allocate to <br /> <br />said citles on a population basis a share of the count;l's One Cent (11)- <br /> <br />subvention from the state of California. <br /> <br />NOW, TEEREFOHE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Connetl of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood Citythat the Commi ttee of the PenlnsulG.
