THORPE <br />ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS AN ASSISTANT DISTRICT <br />ATTORNEY OF SAN MATEO COUNTY. <br /> <br />vVHEREAS this Council has learned that William <br /> <br />H. Thorpe, Sergeant of the Police Department of this city, <br /> <br />has been appointed an Assistant District Attorney and <br /> <br />Investigator of the County of San Mateo; <br />RESOLVEID that this Council congratulates Ser- <br /> <br />geant Thorpe on this appointment, and hereby expresses to <br /> <br /> <br />him the appreciation of this Council and of the citizens <br /> <br /> <br />of this city for his highly meritorious, conscientious and <br /> <br />courteous services for twenty years as an Officer of the <br />Police Department of this city, and the loss sustained by <br />this city in his absence from the Police force; <br /> <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that this Council hereby con- <br />vey to Sergeant Thorpe the best wishes of each of the members <br /> <br />hereof for success in his new undertaking. <br />The above and foregoing resolution was passed and <br />adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regu- <br />lar meeting thereof held on the 5th of February, 1945, by <br />the following vote~ <br /> <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage and .adoption of <br />the foregoing resolution: <br /> <br />Councilmen: ARMS~~RONG, BRITSCHGI, FLETCHER, <br />GRANGER, McNULTY, HILTON. <br /> <br />Noes and against the passage and adoption of the <br /> <br />foregoing resolution: Councilmen: NONE. <br /> <br />Absent: Councilmen: AW~~: <br /> <br />Atte~~LI. ~..
