10/28/02 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2234 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 33A.15, 33A.16, 33A.17, <br /> 33A.18, 33A.20, 33A.22, 33A.25, 33A.27, 33A.31, 33A.32, 33A.33, <br /> 33A.34 AND 33A.35 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE DEFINITION OF THE <br /> SIDEWALK CAFE AREA, SIDEWALK CAFE PERMIT <br /> REQUIREMENTS, DURATION AND REGULATIONS WITHIN <br /> SAID AREA, RESPECTIVELY <br /> <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The title to Article II to Chapter 33A of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "ARTICLE I1. USE OF DOWNTOWN SIDEWALK CAFE AREA" <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Section 33A. 15 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 33A.15. DEFINITIONS: For the purposes of this Article, the term <br />"Downtown Sidewalk Cafe Area" shall mean the hereinafter specified street sidewalk <br />areas: <br /> <br /> Both sides of Broadway between the intersections thereof with El <br /> Camino Real and Marshall Street; both sides of the following <br /> intersecting streets with Broadway, between the specified <br /> intersections therewith: Main Street, between the intersections <br /> thereof with the Southern Pacific/"CalTrans" (California Department <br /> of Transportation) railroad right of way and Marshall Street; <br /> Jefferson Avenue between the intersections thereof with the <br /> Southern Pacific CalTrans railroad right of way and Marshall Street; <br /> Middlefleld Road, between the intersections thereof with Winslow <br /> and Marshall Street; Hamilton Street, between the intersections <br /> thereof with Winslow Street between the intersection thereof with <br /> Marshall Street and the southerly approach thereof with the <br /> Southern Pacific/CalTrans railroad right of way. <br /> <br /> A map delineating the above-described Downtown Sidewalk Cafe Area shall be <br />maintained and made available for public review during regular business hours in the <br />offices of the Department of Community Development. <br /> <br /> For the purpose of this Article, the term "Sidewalk Cafe" shall mean and refer to a <br />coffee house, tea shop, restaurant or bar which also provides outside seating and <br />serves food on a public sidewalk pursuant to a valid permit." <br /> <br />F:AttyFXS/Ord/Ord.156 1 <br />101402 <br /> <br /> <br />
