RESOLUTION NO. 15-07 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES ADVISORY <br />COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF ARCHITECTURAL PERMIT NO.2015-86 FOR 1424 <br />MIDDLEFIELD ROAD IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 40 OF THE <br />REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL CODE <br />WHEREAS, Applicant, Noe Gil Ochoa, property owner, has applied for an <br />Architectural Permit to construct a 735 square foot ground floor addition, a 707 square <br />foot second story, and a new detached garage to the existing residence at 1424 <br />Middlefield Road; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to City Council Resolution No. 11047, 1424 Middlefield <br />Road is located within the designated Stambaugh -Heller Historic District; and <br />WHEREAS, the existing structure located at 1424 Middlefield Road is not a <br />"contributor" to the Stambaugh -Heller Historic District and not considered a historic <br />resource or landmark; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Municipal Code <br />(Historic Preservation Ordinance), the Historic Resources Advisory Committee shall <br />review any application to tear down, demolish, construct, alter, remove or relocate any <br />improvement, or any portion thereof, which has been designated a historic landmark or <br />is within a historic district; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 12, 2015, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee <br />conducted a duly -noticed public hearing in accordance with all applicable requirements <br />of State Law to review the permit application and support material. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The HRAC hereby finds that the proposed addition, as designed, is <br />harmonious with and will not adversely impact the character of the Stambaugh -Heller <br />Historic District. <br />Section 2. The HRAC hereby recommends that the Planning Commission <br />approve the Architectural permit consistent with Chapter 40 (Historic Preservation) of <br />the Redwood City Municipal Code. <br />Section 3.
