<br />ATTY/RESO.0075/HRAC RESO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF PERMIT FOR 970 EDGEWOOD ROAD <br />REV: 10-06-2022 JB <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 22-03 <br /> <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES ADVISORY <br />COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF PERMIT NO. AP2022-021 FOR 970 EDGEWOOD <br />ROAD IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 40 OF THE REDWOOD <br />CITY MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Applicant, Susan Raymond (Property Owner), has applied for a <br />permit to construct a 778-square foot single-story addition to the existing single-story <br />residence (Permit) located at 970 Edgewood Road (Property); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Municipal Code <br />(Historic Preservation Ordinance), the Historic Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC) <br />shall review any application to tear down, demolish, construct, alter, remove or relocate <br />any improvement, or any portion thereof, which has been designated a historic <br />landmark or is within a historic district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City (City) has designated the residence on the <br />Property a local Historic Landmark (City Council Resolution Number 15913); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed development would not create significant adverse <br />changes to the architectural style of the historic landmark on site; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 30, 2022, a public hearing notice of the HRAC <br />hearing was published in the San Mateo Daily Journal and sent to the Property Owner; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 13, 2022, the HRAC conducted a duly-noticed public <br />hearing in accordance with all applicable requirements of State Law to review the permit <br />application and supporting material. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HRAC OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The HRAC hereby finds that the proposed addition, as designed, is <br />harmonious with and will not detrimentally alter, destroy, or adversely affect any exterior <br />architectural feature of the historic structure. <br /> <br />Section 2. The HRAC hereby recommends that the Planning Commission <br />approve the Permit consistent with Chapter 40 (Historic Preservation) of the Redwood <br />City Municipal Code. <br /> <br />Section 3. This Resolution is effective upon its adoption. <br /> <br />* * *
