ATTY/RESO.2796/HRAC 145 MONROE <br />REV: 10‐09‐12 VR <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12-01 HRAC <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES ADVISORY <br />COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DETERMINING <br />THAT THE PROPOSED PROJECT AT 145 MONROE STREET WILL <br />NOT HAVE AN ADVERSE IMPACT ON THE ADJACENT HISTORIC <br />RESOURCES AT 127 FRANKLIN STREET AND 103 WILSON <br />STREET PURSUANT TO SECTION 2.1.4.D OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY’S DOWNTOWN PRECISE PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Applicant, Greystar Development has applied for a Downtown <br />Planned Community Permit for the construction of a new 305-dwelling unit residential <br />project at 145 Monroe Street, which consists of six floors and a 361- stall semi- <br />subterranean parking garage (the Project) which is adjacent to 127 Franklin Street <br />and 103 Wilson Street, which are identified in the Downtown Precise Plan as “Historic <br />Resources which may be Altered, Relocated or Removed”; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under section 2.1.4.D each proposed development adjacent to <br />historic resources that require discretionary approval shall be reviewed by a qualified <br />architect or architectural historian, approved by the City, and meeting the Secretary <br />of Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards and by the City’s Historic Resources <br />Advisory Committee (HRAC) for its potential impacts on the adjacent historic <br />resources; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 26, 2012, the HRAC conducted a public meeting, in <br />accordance with all applicable requirements of State Law to review the report <br />(Exhibit A) prepared by Richard Brandi, an Architectural Historian, approved by the <br />Office of Historic Preservation and meeting the Secretary of Interior’s Professional <br />Qualifications Standards (36 CFR part 6) to determine whether the proposed Project <br />would have an adverse impact on the historic resources at 127 Franklin Street and <br />103 Wilson Street. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />ADVISORY COMMITTEE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The HRAC hereby recommends consistent with the recommendation <br />of Richard Brandi, Architectural Historian, that the Planning Commission find that the <br />Project will not have an adverse impact on the historic resources of 127 Franklin <br />Street and 103 Wilson Street. <br /> <br />Section 2.
