Proclamation <br />Celebrating Earl P. Walker's 90th .Birthday <br />And Recognizing His Contributions to the <br />City of Redwood City <br />WHEREAS, Earl P. Walker dedicated his career to fostering educational excellence, supporting students, <br />and building a legacy of leadership that continues to shape the community to this day; and <br />WHEREAS, Earl P. Walker served as Principal of Sequoia High School for 27 years, positively influencing <br />the lives of countless students; and <br />WHEREAS, under his tenure as principal, Sequoia High School flourished as a pillar of learning, inclusivity, <br />and personal growth for thousands of students; and <br />WHERAS, his commitment to education extended beyond the classroom, as he built strong relationships with <br />parents, educators, and local organizations to strengthen the Redwood City community; and <br />WHEREAS, Earl P. Walker advocated for innovative educational programs and community partnerships to <br />strengthen student success; and <br />WHEREAS, Earl P. Walker mentored teachers and staff, building a culture of respect and academic <br />excellence; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 24, 2024 Earl P. Walker celebrated his 901" birthday, a wonderful achievement <br />and opportunity to recognize his immense contributions to the growth and recognition of Sequoia High School <br />as a cornerstone of Redwood City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT I, ELMER MARTINEZ SABALLOS, MAYOR OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, on behalf of the City Council and the people of Redwood City, do hereby celebrate Earl <br />P.
