<br />WHEREAS, Dia del Ni- y de la Nina (Children;s Day) is a special occasion dedicated to
<br />celebrating the well-being, growth, and happiness of children thraughozrt our community,
<br />fostering a sense of joy, belonging, and ernpower•ment for young people everywhere; and
<br />WHEREAS, Casa Circulo Cultural, a remarkable organization in Redwood City, has shown an
<br />unwavering commitment to the education, support, and development of children and -families,
<br />providing a nur tiering environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and cultural pride;
<br />and
<br />WHEREAS, Casa Circulo has continually supported children by offering a wide range of
<br />programs, .services, and resources aimed at improving their quality of life, educational outcomes,
<br />andel social connection, all while honoring their rich cultural heritage; and
<br />WHEREAS, the efforts of Casa Circulo embody the spirit of Dia del Nino y de la Nina by uplifting
<br />the next genes as n through mentorship, community -building, and celebrating the diversity and
<br />vibrancy ❑four local community; and
<br />WHEREAS, it is essential to recognize and celebrate the organizations that make a significant
<br />difference in the lives of children and families, particularly those who support underrued
<br />communities, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive and achieve theirfullest potential.
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT I, ELMER MARTINEZ SABALLOS,
<br />MAYOR OF REDWOOD CITY, on behalf of the City Council and the people of the City of
<br />Redwood City, do hereby recognize April 26, 2025 as a day of celebration, appreciation, and
<br />recognition of the invaluable contributions of Casa Circulo to the children of Redwood City. We
<br />honor their commitment to nurturing the minds, hearts, and spirits of the children in our
<br />community. On this special day, we call upon all members of our community to come together to
<br />celebrate our children, to support organizations like Casa Circulo, and to continue investing in
<br />the future of our young people.
