Proclamation <br />Honoring Kathy Pastore <br />WHEREAS, the Redwood Parents Nursery School (RPNS) is a non-profit, parent education, <br />cooperative preschool established in Redwood City in 1952. It continues to thrive today because of <br />its wonderful community and teachers; and <br />WHEREAS, Kathy Pastore, a teacher at RPNS for 25 years, will be retiring at the end of this school <br />year; and <br />WHEREAS, Kathy is truly one of a kind and loved by children and parents alike in the school <br />community, and beyond; and <br />WHEREAS, Kathy is an expert in early childhood development, a supporter for children of all <br />abilities and backgrounds, and an advocate of modeling positivity; and <br />WHEREAS, with Children and Youth being among the City of Redwood City's top priorities, <br />Kathy's devotion to creating opportunities for children to grow, learn and play in safe and healthy <br />environments has paved the way for a brighter future; and <br />WHEREAS, Kathy has left her legacy and impact at RPNS over the last 25 years, and will be truly <br />missed in the classroom; and <br />WHEREAS, Kathy embodies the spirit of Redwood Parents Nursery School, and her decades of <br />contributions to the school and its families will be remembered for generations to come. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, I ELMER MARTINEZ SABALLOS, MAYOR <br />OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, on behalf of the City Council and the people of Redwood <br />City, do hereby congratulate Kathy Pastore upon her retirement from the Redwood Parents Nursery <br />School (RPNS) and wishes her all the best in her future endeavors. <br />Date: June 8, 2025 _90"_ <br />Elmer,Vartinaz Saballos, Mayor <br />Kam Eakin, Vice Mayor <br />Isabella Chu, Council Member <br />Jqf ig", Council Member <br />Diane Howard, Council Member <br />�ff7 <br />Marcella Padilla, Council Member <br />l� <br />Chris Srurken, Council Member <br />
