ATTY/ORD.0006/CC ORD ANTI-CAMPING <br />REV: 08-20-25 MI <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2550 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY ADDING CHAPTER 49 (HOPEFUL HORIZONS: EMPOWERING <br />LIVES INITIATIVE) TO THE REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL CODE <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council hereby adds Chapter 49, “Hopeful Horizons: <br />Empowering Lives Initiative”, as provided in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated <br />by reference, to the Redwood City Municipal Code. <br />Section 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this <br />Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent <br />jurisdiction, the remaining portions of this Ordinance shall nonetheless remain in full force <br />and effect. The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby declares that it would <br />have adopted each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this <br />Ordinance, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, <br />clauses, phrases, or portions of this Ordinance be declared invalid or unenforceable. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance has been reviewed with respect to applicability of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) and CEQA Guidelines (California Code of <br />Regulations, Title 14, Sections 15000 et seq.). The Ordinance is not a project under <br />CEQA Guidelines Section 15378 because it involves administrative activities that will not <br />result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment. <br />Section 4. The City Council directs staff to return to City Council within two years <br />of adoption of the Ordinance with a review of its implementation and outcomes. <br />Section 5. The City Clerk is directed to cause this Ordinance to be published in <br />accordance with applicable law. <br />Section 6. This Ordinance shall go into effect thirty (30) days following its adoption. <br />* * *
