ATTY/RESO.0015/CC RESO APPROVING THE RELOCATION IMPACT MEMORANDUM FOR THE 84/101 REIMAGINED PROJECT REV: 04-20-26 VR Page 1 of 2 RESOLUTION NO. 16399 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE RELOCATION IMPACT MEMORANDUM AS THE RELOCATION PLAN FOR THE STATE ROUTE 84 (WOODSIDE ROAD) / U.S. 101 INTERCHANGE REIMAGINED PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City (“City”) is implementing the State Route 84 (Woodside Road) / U.S. 101 Interchange Reimagined Project (“Project”); and WHEREAS, the Project is a Caltrans On-System project requiring compliance with applicable state and federal right of way and relocation requirements; and WHEREAS, preparation and approval of a Relocation Impact Memorandum (“RIM”), serving as the Project’s relocation plan (“Relocation Plan”), is required for projects involving right of way acquisition; and WHEREAS, the City has identified four non-residential entities that may be eligible for relocation assistance and benefits; and WHEREAS, the estimated cost of providing relocation assistance and benefits to such displaced entities is up to $500,000, which costs are anticipated to be eligible for reimbursement from federal, state, and local funding sources; and WHEREAS, approval of the Relocation Plan is necessary to ensure compliance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 (URA) and California Relocation Assistance Law (CRAL), satisfy Caltrans Local Assistance requirements, preserve eligibility for state and federal transportation funding; and maintain the Project delivery schedule. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council approves the Relocation Impact Memorandum, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A to this Resolution (the “Relocation Plan”). SECTION 2. The City Manager, or their designee (each an “Authorized Officer”), is hereby authorized to execute and deliver, for and in the name of the City, the Relocation Plan, with such additions or changes as the Authorized Officer executing the same may approve (such approval to be conclusively evidenced by such Authorized Officer’s execution and delivery thereof). SECTION 3. The Authorized Officer is hereby authorized, jointly and severally, to do all things that they may deem necessary or proper to effectuate the purposes of this Resolution and implement the Relocation Plan by the City.
