REV: 06-24-26 VR <br />LEASE BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND CORA <br />(COMMUNITY OVERCOMING RELATIONSHIP ABUSE) <br />This lease agreement (“Agreement”) is made and entered into by and between the <br />City of Redwood City, a charter city and California municipal corporation (“City” or <br />“Landlord”) and CORA (Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse), a 501(c)(3) <br />nonprofit corporation (“Tenant”, collectively the “Parties”), with respect to the following: <br />Recitals <br />A. City owns and operates the Fair Oaks Community Center located at 2600 <br />Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA 94063 (“Community Center”), which serves as a hub <br />for community activities and services including, but not limited to, childcare and <br />development services, community services, senior activity services, and the provision of <br />meeting space for non-profits and community groups. <br />B. Tenant is a California based non-profit organization dedicated to innovative, <br />impactful approaches to intervening in, raising awareness of and preventing intimate <br />partner violence. The only domestic violence (DV) organization in San Mateo County, <br />CORA provides essential services, including a 24/7 hotline, mental health support, legal <br />assistance, shelter and supportive housing; and <br />C. Tenant serves the public interest by the ability to staff and operate the <br />satellite office at the Premises is contingent upon availability of grant funding or other <br />external funding sources designated for this purpose <br />D. Tenant will provide services to residents of Redwood City and North Fair <br />Oaks one (1) day every other week. <br />E. The Parties wish to enter into an agreement for the lease and use of a <br />portion of the Community Center. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, the receipt and <br />sufficiently of which are hereby acknowledged, the Parties agree as follows: <br />Agreement <br />1. Premises and Use of Common Areas. <br />1.1 The “Premises” means that certain portion of the Community Center more <br />particularly described in the attached Exhibit “A” incorporated herein, including: <br />exclusive use of (1) office space every other week; and non-exclusive access to <br />and use of Community Center common areas such as shared restrooms, hallways, <br />and the kitchen. <br />ATTY/AGR.2026.161/Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA) (Page 1 of 12)
