( <br />RESOLUTION N 0.1421 <br /> <br />----------- -- <br /> <br /> <br />GRANTING VARIANCE TO JOHN FI~ILVER <br />TO ALLOW OFF-STREET PARKING INSTEAD <br />OF GARAGES AT 1650 BROADWAY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Adjustments of the Planning Com- <br /> <br /> <br />mission of the City of Redwood City, State of California, has <br /> <br /> <br />submitted the application of JOHN FIN~ILVER for variance or <br /> <br /> <br />adjustment, with the recommendation that such application be <br /> <br />granted, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, State <br /> <br />of California, has considered said application for variance <br /> <br /> <br />or adjustment in accordance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. <br /> <br /> <br />600, Zoning Ordinance of the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />NOW, THERlliFORE, THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY HEREBY <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Said Council finds that the following conditions <br />do exist: <br /> <br />(a) There are exceptional or extraordinary cir- <br />cumstances or conditions which apply to the <br />land, building, or use referred to in the <br />application which circumstances or conditions <br />do not apply generally to land, buildings, <br />or uses in the same district. <br /> <br />(b) That the granting of the application is <br />necessary for the preservation and enjoyment <br />of substantial property rights of the peti- <br />tioner. <br /> <br />(c) That the granting of such application will <br />not materially affect adversely neighboring <br />property or the public welfare, the health, <br />or safety of persons residing or working in <br />the neighborhood. <br /> <br />2. Said Council hereby grants said adjustment or vari- <br /> <br />ance to JOHN FI~ILVER to allow off-street parking instead <br /> <br />of garages at 1650 Broadway in the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
