1 <br />R E S O L U T I O N <br />N 0. 182 <br />GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION <br />TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF THAT <br />UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED 17,REIN <br />AND DESIGNATED "HILL KNOWLES TERRITORY <br />NO. 2 AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND <br />PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO. <br />RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS <br />1. That pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation. <br />of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by <br />owners of not less than one fourth (1/4) of the land in the <br />hereinafter - described territory, by area and by assessed value <br />as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County <br />of San Mateo, State of California, was filed with the Council <br />of Redwood City requesting annexation of the hereinafter-des- <br />cribed property to said City. That said territory which said <br />petitioners request to be annexed to the City of Redwood City, <br />and which said City and its Council propose to annex to the <br />City of Redwood City, is situated in the County of San Mateo, <br />State of California, hereby designated "Hill Knowles Territory <br />No. 2 and described as follows; <br />A portion of Lot 4 as same is shown on the map entitled "Map of the <br />Partition of the Hill Knowles 251 acre tract, adjoining Redwood City, <br />California", filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County, <br />July 2 -8, 1904, in Book "E" of Original Maps at Page 24, San Mateo County <br />Records, being more particularly described as follows: <br />BEGINNING at the most Northerly corner of said Lot 4. said corner also <br />being a point on the existing corporate city limit line of the City of <br />Redwood City, and said point also being the intersection of the Southeasterly <br />line of Charter Street, 36.00 feet in width, with the Southwesterly line of <br />the Southern Pacific right -of - , way, 75.00 feet in width, as shown on said_ <br />Map of Hill Knowles Tract;. THENCE along said Southwesterly line of the <br />Southern Pacific right -of -way and the Northeasterly line of said Lot 4, <br />-1- <br />
