P - 2092 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />2010 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Civic Cultural Commission of the City of Redwood Ci~y <br /> <br />recommends cultural events to the City of Redwood City, and more particularly <br /> <br />to the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Port of Redwood City endorses the goals and principles <br /> <br />of the Civic Cultural Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Civic Cultural Commission has communicated a need for <br /> <br />funding for the 2010 Summer Concert Series and other programs; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Port of Redwood City will contribute a sum of <br />Seven Thousand Five Hundred and nojlOO------- Dollars ($ 7500.00 ) <br />to the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department to <br />promote the 2010 Summer Concert Series. <br /> <br />2. The Port of Redwood City's contribution is subject to the receipt of a <br />letter from the Civic Cultural Commission committing itself to hold at least <br />one (1) concert at the Port of Redwood City during the calendar year <br />2010. <br /> <br />3. The appropriate Port location and the date for the concert(s) will be <br />designated by the Port Executive Director in consultation with the Civic <br />Cultural Commission and the Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br />Department of the City of Redwood City, and should be agreed upon at <br />least two (2) months prior to the performance of each concert. <br /> <br />* * * * * <br />
