I. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~' <br /> <br />RESOLUT.!ON <br /> <br />NO.~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PURCHASE OF CERTAIN <br />HEREIN DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY LOCATED NORTHEASTERLY AND <br />ADJACENT TO 934 JEFFERSON AVENUE, REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA; <br />AND, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF <br />INTENTION OF SAID ACQUISITION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, public interest and necessity requires the acquisi- <br /> <br />tion by the City of Redwood City of a fee simple interest in <br /> <br />certain unimproved real property located northeasterly of and <br /> <br />adjacent to 934 Jefferson Avenue, in the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />for street widening and other municipal purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the purchase price of said real property exceeds <br /> <br />the sum of $2,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve the acquisition of said real property at the total pur- <br /> <br />chase price of twenty-three thousand five hundred dollars ($23,500); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />l. That the acquisition of the hereinafter described real <br /> <br />property is necessary and desirable for municipal purposes. <br /> <br />2. That the City Manager is authorized to do all acts <br /> <br />necessary to acquire the hereinafter described real property for <br /> <br />a total purchase price of twenty-three thousand five hundred <br /> <br />dollars ($23,500) on behalf of the City of Redwood City, in <br /> <br />accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City. <br /> <br />3. That the property to be acquired is that certain real <br /> <br />property in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State <br /> <br />of California, more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br />The Northeasterly one-half of Lots 2 and 3 in Block 3 <br />as shown on that certain map entitled "Map of the <br />property of Villa Lots of J. V. Diller, Situated in <br />Redwood City," filed in the office of the County <br />Recorder of San Mateo County on september 18, l863, <br />in Book "E" of Maps at page 77 and copied into <br />Book 1 of Maps at page 83, and which said Northeasterly <br />one-half of said Lots 2 and 3, fronts 50 feet on <br />Jefferson Avenue, and runs back from Jefferson Avenue, <br />a uniform depth of lOO feet. <br />
