I. . . ~' RESOLUT.!ON NO.~ RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PURCHASE OF CERTAIN HEREIN DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY LOCATED NORTHEASTERLY AND ADJACENT TO 934 JEFFERSON AVENUE, REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA; AND, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTENTION OF SAID ACQUISITION WHEREAS, public interest and necessity requires the acquisi- tion by the City of Redwood City of a fee simple interest in certain unimproved real property located northeasterly of and adjacent to 934 Jefferson Avenue, in the City of Redwood City, for street widening and other municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, the purchase price of said real property exceeds the sum of $2,000; and WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the acquisition of said real property at the total pur- chase price of twenty-three thousand five hundred dollars ($23,500); NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: l. That the acquisition of the hereinafter described real property is necessary and desirable for municipal purposes. 2. That the City Manager is authorized to do all acts necessary to acquire the hereinafter described real property for a total purchase price of twenty-three thousand five hundred dollars ($23,500) on behalf of the City of Redwood City, in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of Redwood City. 3. That the property to be acquired is that certain real property in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, more particularly described as follows: The Northeasterly one-half of Lots 2 and 3 in Block 3 as shown on that certain map entitled "Map of the property of Villa Lots of J. V. Diller, Situated in Redwood City," filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on september 18, l863, in Book "E" of Maps at page 77 and copied into Book 1 of Maps at page 83, and which said Northeasterly one-half of said Lots 2 and 3, fronts 50 feet on Jefferson Avenue, and runs back from Jefferson Avenue, a uniform depth of lOO feet.
