P-1298 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR REPRESENTATION REGARDING FEDERAL <br /> CONGRESSIONAL AND AGENCY MATTERS IN WASHINGTON, D.C. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, operations of the Port of Redwood City are affected <br />by Congressional and of the Executive Branch activities of the <br />federal government in Washington, D.C.; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that this Port's significance to <br />maritime commerce and the Port' s interest in matters under <br />Congressional consideration and Executive administration be <br />communicated effectively to Congress and federal agencies; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Peter Friedmann of the firm of Lindsay, Hart, Neil <br />& Weigler, Washington, D.C., represents that he is qualified to <br />provide the access, timely information and advice necessary to <br />achieve the objectives of the Port of Redwood ' City with the <br />federal government; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this <br />Board, a letter agreement by and between said Lindsay, Hart, Neil <br />& Weigler and the Port of Redwood City providing for the above <br />described representation of the Port, a copy of which agreement <br />is attached, hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and by this reference <br /> <br />incorporated herein; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS'FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1.
