~C:djg-c 6/18/82 <br /> <br /> JUL 9 1982 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1862 <br /> ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE REDEVELOPMENT <br /> PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT NO. 2 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1491, adopted May 24, <br /> <br />1971, the City Council declared a need for a Redevelopment <br />Agency to function in the City of Redwood City and declared <br />the Council of Redwood City to act as the Redevelopment Agency <br />of the City of Redwood City for the purposes of implementing <br />the requirements of the Community Redevelopment Law (Health and <br />Safety Code ~33300, et seq.) in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency has prepared the Redevelopment Plan <br /> <br /> for Redevelopment Project No. 2, consisting of the Gateway, <br /> <br />Centre, Marina, and Seaport Sub-areas; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the Plan <br /> <br />and found that the Plan conforms to the General Plan of the <br />City of Redwood City, and has further recommended approval of <br />the Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the <br /> <br />Agency its report and recommendation concerning the Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has, after noticed public <br />hearing, reviewed Environmental Impact Report No. EIR 82-08 <br />and, where referred to, EIR 81-23 (Seaport Centre) and has <br />certified said EIR(s) as adequate, sufficient, and in <br />compliance with CEQA (Public Resources Code §21000-21174) and <br />the guidelines implementive thereof; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency has submitted to this Council the <br />Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project No. 2 which Plan <br />was accompanied by the Report required by Health and Safety <br /> <br /> 1862 <br /> <br /> <br />
