CGM:mf 10/9/81 <br /> CGM:mf 10/12/81R <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 8979 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING DESIGNATION 0R,= NAL <br /> OF AN AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS A <br /> SURVEY AREA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 4, Article 2, Part 1, Division 24 of the <br />Health and Safety Code, Part 1 of said Division of said Code is <br />known as the Community Redevelopment Law, grants authority to a <br />legislative body of a community by resolution, to authorize the <br />designation of a survey area by resolution of the Planning <br />Commission of that community for an area within a City for the <br />purpose of studying said area to determine if a redevelopment <br />project or projects within said area are feasible; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires that the Planning Commission <br />designate an area in the City of Redwood City as a survey area <br /> <br /> (including preliminery plan formulation); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Planning Commission is hereby authorized and <br /> directed to designate an area within the City of Redwood City <br /> as a survey area and to conduct a study of said area in accordance <br /> with applicable statutory procedures (including all required <br /> findings) to determine if a redevelopment project or projects <br /> within said area are feasible. <br /> <br /> 2. That the Planning Commission is hereby further directed <br /> to designate one or more areas within the area comprising the <br /> survey area so designated as a project area, or project areas, <br /> if said Commission finds evidence to support the applicable <br /> criteria therefor, and to formulate a preliminary plan for the <br /> redevelopment of each selected project area in accordance with <br /> the above mentioned statutory procedures. <br /> <br /> 8979 <br /> <br /> <br />
