RD-89-19 <br /> <br /> EACH SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON THE ENVIRONMENT EXPECTED TO BE <br /> CAUSED BY APPROVAL AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SECOND <br /> AMENDMENT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT <br /> PROJECT NO. 2, MAKING STATEMENTS OF OVERRIDING <br /> CONSIDERATIONS, AND ADOPTING REPORTING AND MONITORING <br /> PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />adopted Ordinance No. 1862 on July 19, 1982 approving and <br /> <br />adopting the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project No. 2 <br />(the "Redevelopment Plan"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has previously amended the <br />Redevelopment Plan, (the "First Amendment") by Ordinance No. 1911 <br />adopted on May 20, 1985; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood <br />City (the "Agency") has formulated and prepared the Second <br />Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project No. <br />2 ("Second Amendment") which would add territory ("the Amendment <br />Area") to the existing Project Area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has received from the Agency the <br />proposed Second Amendment, together with the Report of the Agency <br />including the reasons for amending the Redevelopment Plan, a <br />description of the physical, social and economic conditions <br />existing in the Amendment Area, the proposed method of financing <br />the redevelopment of the Amepdment Area, an analysis of the <br />Preliminary Plan, the report and recommendations of the Planning <br />Commission of the City of Redwood City, a summary of <br /> <br /> <br />
