for <br /> VA HOMELESS TRANSITIONAL SHELTER <br /> <br /> (VETERANS WORKSHOP OF THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this / day of <br />~--~'~,'~-~.-~_, 1997, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, ("City"), and VETERANS <br />WORKSHOP OF THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION, an Agency of the U. S. <br />Government ("Contractor"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor conducts a transitional housing program for <br />homeless veter~ins, families and single persons who reside in the City (the <br />"Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the Program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1; 1997, and ending June 30, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to <br />Contractor the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) from its <br />Community Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Financial Assistance. City shall allocate to Contractor the total sum <br />of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) for exclusive use by Contractor during <br />the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998, solely for <br />the purposes described in paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> <br />
