RD-90-05 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY APPROVING SEQUOIA STATION PROJECT AND <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, the Redevelopment Agency <br />of the City of Redwood City (the "Agency"), SamTrans, Caltrans <br />and Sequoia Station Developers, Inc. (formerly The Innisfree <br />Companies, Inc.) have been engaged for some time in the <br />preparation of plans and related documents for the construction <br />of The Sequoia Station Project (formerly known as the Gateway <br />Center Mixed Use Development and Transit Project); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report ("EIR") has been <br />prepared for the Sequoia Station Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, both the Agency as the lead Agency and the City <br />Council as the responsible agency under CEQA, have certified the <br />Final EIR, made findings with respect thereto under appropriate <br />CEQA Regulations, selected an alternative project set forth in <br />the Final EIR, made a statement of overriding considerations, and <br />established a reporting and monitoring program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency has established (1) a Relocation <br />Assistance and Last Resort Housing Plan and (2) a Replacement <br />Housing Plan for the Sequoia Station Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has held a duly noticed public <br />hearing, made the findings and approved the Disposition and <br />Development Agreement for the Sequoia Station Project in <br />accordance with Section 33433 of the Health and Safety Code. <br /> <br /> <br />
