RD-90-04 <br /> <br /> ADOPTING FINDINGS FOR EACH SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON THE <br /> ENVIRONMENT EXPECTED TO BE CAUSED BY APPROVAL AND <br /> IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SEQUOIA STATION PROJECT, <br /> SELECTING ALTERNATIVE PROJECT, MAKING STATEMENT OF <br /> OVERRIDING CONSIDERATIONS, AND ADOPTING REPORTING AND <br /> MONITORING PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, the Redevelopment Agency <br />of the City of Redwood City (the "Agency"), SamTrans, Caltrans <br />and a private developer have been engaged for some time in the <br />preparation of plans and related documents for the construction <br />of The Sequoia Station Project, which was formerly known as the <br />Gateway Center Mixed Use Development and Transit Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report ("EIR") has been <br />prepared for the Sequoia Station Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council and the Agency by concurrent <br />resolution have certified that the Final EIR for the Sequoia <br />Station Project was completed in compliance with CEQA, the State <br />CEQA Guidelines, and the Agency's CEQA Procedures, and that the <br />City Council and the Agency have reviewed and considered the <br />information contained in the Final EIR for the Sequoia Station <br />Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Final EIR for the Sequoia Station Project <br />identifies several potential significant environmental effects of <br />the Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 15091 of the California Administrative Code <br />Title 14, Division 6 ("CEQA Regulation, Section 15091") requires <br />that written findings be made, accompanied by a brief explanation <br /> <br /> <br />
