RD-94-20 RD 94-20 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY MAKING CHANGES TO STRENGTHEN <br /> STOREFRONT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Agency created the Storefront Improvement <br />Program in 1990 to encourage owners and tenants of buildings <br />located in the Downtown Area to make structural and esthetic <br />improvements to the facades of their buildings; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, certain modifications were made to the Storefront <br />Improvement Program in 1993 by Resolution No. RD 93 - 10; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency desires to make the following additional <br />changes to the Storefront Improvement Program to further <br /> <br />strengthen the program; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY that the Storefront Improvement Program, as modified <br />by Resolution No. 93 - 10, hereby is further modified as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. In the case of unreinforced masonry buildings only, <br />one-half of the amount eligible for reimbursement under the <br />Storefront Improvement Program shall be applied to seismic <br />retrofit costs and one-half shall be applied to exterior <br />improvements, and the total amount eligible for reimbursement <br />under the Storefront Improvement Program shall be twice the <br />amount otherwise available under the program, not to exceed in <br />any case $50,000. <br /> <br /> 2. The submittal of architectural drawings of the work <br /> proposed shall be a requirement of the Storefront Improvement <br /> Program; provided, however, that where the applicant is not <br /> <br /> <br />
