- � � • REG:yc:l/3%66-7 a; �,, , R E S O L U T I O N N O. �� RESOLUTION VACATING AND ABAI�IDONING PORTION OF A..PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT q WE�REAS, pursuant to the provisions of Article 5(commenci.ng at §50430) of Chapter 2, Part 1, Division 1, Title 5, of the Government Code, the Council of the City of Redwood City has, by its Resolution No. 4855, adopted December 6, 1965, declared its intention to vacate a portion of a public utility easement, which easement is designated as such on that map entitled "Friend Industrial Tract," recorded December 31, 1940, in the off ice of the Recorder of San Mateo County, California, in Volume 23 of Maps at page 33F and i�e: WI�REAS, pursuant to said provisions, notice�of intention to vacate and abandon the above mentioned public utility easement has been published and posted; and WE�REAS, a public hearing has been held and evidence taken; NOW, TI�REFORE ; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City finds (a) that the hereinafter described portion of a public utility easement has not been used for public utility easement purposes since the date of its designation as such and (b) that the easement is unnecessary for present or prospective public use. 2. The above mentioned public utility easement which is to be abandoned and vacated is descri.bed as follows: A portion of Lot 2, Block 2, as said lot and block are designated on that map entitled "Friend Industrial Tract," recorded December 31, 1940, in the office of the Recorder, of San Mateo County, California, in Volume 23 of Maps at page 33, being more partic�ilarly described as follows: BEGINNING at the northwest corner of said Lot 2; TI�NCE South 8 West along the westerly line of said lot a ' � �F
