- ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> Casa de Redwood <br /> <br /> Building Improvements and Replacements <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this~ay of <br />2003, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and <br />municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and Casa de Redwood, a <br />California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor desires to renovate/improve its facility (the <br />"Project), located at 1280 Veterans Boulevard, Redwood City, California, which <br />provides services to Iow income and disabled seniors who are residents of the <br />City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />complete the Project that will benefit residents of City during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1,2003, and ending June 30, 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and the Project and desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Thirty Five Thousand, Two Hundred Ninety Six <br />and no/100 Dollars ($35,296) from its Community Development Block Grant <br />funds for the Project; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum <br />of Thirty Five Thousand, Two Hundred Ninety Six and no/100 Dollars ($35,296) <br />for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, <br />and ending June 30, 2004, solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Project purposes described in Exhibits A (Budget) and <br /> <br />9/11/03 <br /> <br /> <br />
